As it was mentioned during the discussion, the draft law (Reg. No. 4266a) was elaborated aiming to establish legal bases for creating in Ukraine the system of selective collection, complex recycling and utilization of packaging, increasing volumes of their use as secondary raw materials, creating conditions for fair competition between economic entities in this sphere, introducing European experience of such system's functioning, and harmonizing Ukrainian legislation to respective normative acts of the European Union.
The Committee members took into consideration that the bill belongs to priority areas of adapting Ukraine's legislation to the legislation of the European Union.
